BRAVE will work closely with host-country institutions and governments to build and retain expertise in vaccine safety surveillance, data collection, and analysis.

The project evaluates site capacity and supports the development of surveillance platforms and technical skills needed to identify and report adverse events in both hospital and community settings. Through training, mentorship, and opportunities for advanced research, BRAVE promotes the growth of locally led research programs. Cross-country collaboration and knowledge sharing are central, enabling sites to learn from each other and strengthening regional leadership in vaccine safety evaluation and outbreak preparedness. By investing in sustainable systems and local expertise, BRAVE aims to create a lasting legacy of improved vaccine safety, stronger health systems, and enhanced outbreak preparedness worldwide.
